From Linz to Munich

Grew up in Austria, served as a paramedic, then moved to Munich to study at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

Physics taught me confidence in solving hard questions. Management and Technology made me ask who ends up using the answers.

Studies

I study Physics and Management and Technology at TUM in parallel, since 2023. In Physics I specialized in applied and engineering physics, with electives in neural networks, scientific programming, condensed matter, biophysics and medical technology. In Management and Technology my focus is computer engineering, alongside human-AI interaction, cloud software engineering, entrepreneurship and law.

My Physics thesis, at the Chair of Theoretical Biophysics, fine-tuned Boltz-2 and three other models to predict protein–peptide binding affinity. Right now I am most interested in AI safety, AI security and biosecurity. Read about the thesis.

Before university

I grew up in Austria and finished school at BRG Linz Fadingerstraße with distinction, majoring in physics, economics and biology. In the summer of 2021 I wrote analysis code for a quantum tomography project at the Quantum & Post-Quantum Lab of FH Upper Austria.

For my civil service I chose to gain experience in extreme situations, helping people in emergencies as a paramedic with the Samariterbund in Linz. It taught me to stay calm and keep thinking clearly when it matters most. I continued to volunteer there afterwards.

Outside the lab

I run track and field at a semi-professional level. The rest of my time goes into reading about my wide range of interests: politics, innovation and technology, geopolitics, history and philosophy, and above all how they shape the way societies change.
